The Weather is looking good for racing in Red Deer this weekend. If you are heading that way and need ski service before we are able to accomodate a few more pairs yet! While admittedly we have not had the chance to check out the trails in person we can surmise that snow there is a mix of man made and older natural. Some parts of the trail you race on may be purely man-made with other parts purely natural. In this situation, unless the moisture levels go way up(not predicted), you are likely to notice quite a different speed and feel as you pass between the different types of snow. We would recommend the GR1 grind as a likely choice due to its reliable performance on man- made and its impressive range which will serve you well in older natural snow. If you have a second pair of skis to test the MGR2 would be our next recommendation - this grind being a strong contender if the temperatures actually fall as low as the forecast. Good luck with the races and if you have any questions or we can help you out drop us an email or phone call.
